Biodiesel Production Basics
- Pick a feedstock
- Collect and gather feedstock
- De-gum and PH balance the fat or oil
- Remove all water content
- Titrate to find percentage of Free Fatty Acids
- Heat to 130º - 200º
- Mix in methoxide
- Agitate for 3 hours
- Let settle for 12-24 hours
- Flash evaporate the excess methanol
- Rinse product with water
- Flash evaporate any water
- Filter 5 micron
- Test for ASTM D-6751
